Light performance of 1.69ct - not sure what to make of this

Hi everyone!
Looking for some sage advice about my wife's diamond that we recently bought.

Yesterday morning, I placed it in a narrow beam of sunlight that was streaming in between the curtains, so I could add to the fire thread.

What I noticed that really caught my eye was the streams of light shooting out towards the sides. We have never seen this before, as all of her previous rings were more bezel-like settings instead of classic prong.

Is this normal light performance for a direct and focused lighting condition?

Here are the specs:

It's completely eye-clean with no major inclusions that we could see, other than a small needle that's about half way down into the pavilion visible under 10x magnification.
...there is no inclusion plot on the cert.

Figured I'd ask since we have our final check-in with the retailer tomorrow before our return/exchange period comes to a close.

Looks like the light reflecting on the metal of the ring. Lovely picture!

So I was thinking about this some more:
The ring is a tapered shank solitaire with no side stones paired with a side stone guard.

Given the way the light is blowing out the sides, it makes me wonder if this is coming from the diamond as focused leakage or if it's light reflecting from the inside of the ring and off of the pavilion.

Anyone have any further thoughts? And (and I mean any) feedback is helpful. I know it's probably just my post-purchase jitters getting the best of me, but I want to make sure that this particular diamond isn't flawed in terms of light performance.

Super cool!
