Just wondering what should be considered when deciding whether to opt for LGD or Moissanites when spec'ing for a piece of jewellery.
The items I am considering are not big ticket items, like an over 1ct OEC.
I am looking at having smaller ticket items made, such as bracelets for stacking purposes and cluster or huggie earrings.
Personally, with smaller stones below say 3mm, I cannot differentiate LGDs and Moissys and other simulants just by looking at them without magnification.
Currently I am pricing a bracelet for stacking purposes, and the difference between 10K with LGDs and 14K with Moissys is 50 USD more expensive for the former, both in White Gold.
To me, I shall opt for the former as the small difference in price is acceptable, as I cannot tell the difference between 10K and 14K White Gold once it is Rhodium-plated!
I would like to check if I am missing anything important that I should consider when deciding whether to opt for LGDs or Moissys for this and other items in future.
