LGD for engagement ring - advice/ help wanted

Hello - new here and new to diamonds in general.

I am looking for a diamond for an engagement ring. Looking for an emerald cut in the 2 carat range. Would like it to be eye clean and look colourless in a gold setting. For an added wrinkle I am shopping from Canada and while not opposed to American (or other) retailers the exchange rate is a factor.

Looking to spend no more than ~$4000 USD or ~$ 5,000 CAD. Open to complete rings or a loose diamond.

During my own search for emerald diamonds in the 2.5 carat range I've realized how difficult shopping for an emerald cut diamond is - it's very difficult to see if it's a truly good diamond from the stock videos they post online. I would ask to see some other videos of the diamond in different lighting scenarios, and see if you can request an ASET. That will tell you if the light return is good or if there are dead spots.

I am far from an expert but this doesn't immediately look bad - just hard to tell if it's as good as it seems. The price seems pretty low for the certs

Thanks! I was able to get some videos and they are going to send and ASET image today. The price does seem a little low, hoping its just a good deal and not too good to be true.

Please update with ASET imagery when it is available. Looks decent on the video, but they can be hard to read for accuracy

I'm a little concerned about the weakness of light return on the center 2-4 facets. In the video you can see the center right facet is mostly off (green area on the ASET). I'll try to find some threads that talk about picking a good EC diamond. Unfortunately, the EC experts don't spend much time in the Lab Grown section. You might try starting a new thread here titled "Need help choosing an Emerald Cut Diamond." It may garner more attention from the right people that way.
