This belongs to my Mom. If the L&S ID is correct and it dates to early 1900's then the timing is right for it to have belonged to her Mom. Question is ... what is it?

The stone is very nondescript. Looks faded. Any ideas? oh ... it is about 1.25 x .5 inches.

Does the stone have any translucence, or does it shimmer at all when you move it or view it at different angles?

Is it possible that the stone is associated with a place that was significant for your mother or grandmother?
