Rerun of the reverse view. It's a Rene Lalique stomacher brooch from 1900ish, Art Nouveau and gorgeous. Closest I'll ever get to it! The original is in a the Gubelkenian museum. The tattoo artist copied it absolutely exactly. Took a year and cost more than my first car.

VRBeauty, I have a handful. They''re packed, along with everything else in the house, at the moment, unfortunately. The super old ones. I saw a couple of the the new-made ones at work- and thought they were amazing (oooh opium poppies! oooh draped nude!) and wanted one. Then, I saw the real actual old ones and realized just how much the mold had deteriorated over, what, 100 years, and bought a couple old ones. I mix a bunch of different Art Nouveau sterling patterns together, especially poppy patterns: Les Six Fleurs, Les Cinq Fleurs... fun! I couldn''t commit to a single silver pattern. Love Disarmed is my very favorite though.

LOL! Thanks! I''m wearing my "daily parure". DH looks disappointed when I wear something other that the set he gave me. Sigh . . . It is a beautiful set, though!

Funny about the Sarah Palin comment - the first time I saw her I said: "Wait a minute - she looks like me!". I need to replace my glasses lenses with some square ones, need to put up my hair, lose the tan, lose 10+ years, and then we''re good! LOL!
