Aw, thanks Jo! This was a second wedding for DH and I, and although I really did want to wear a pretty traditional white dress, I felt like I had a little more "leeway" this time, if that makes any sense. So, I decided I wanted lots of RED in the wedding . . . including my dress! I almost got a completely red dress, but it was just way out of my price range, so I had to settle for the red detailing. Just so ya know, my Mom was my MOH and my cousin was my junior bridesmaid . . . I just loved their dresses!

Hi, Holly!

Thanks for all the compliments! I saw your pic earlier in the thread . . . you guys are SUCH a cute couple!

That bouquet was ENORMOUS! LOL! My Mom did all of our flowers, which are all silk. (Making silk flower arrangements is one of her many talents.) I think there were something like 60 roses in that bad boy, and it weighed about 300 pounds! LOL!

And yeah, I thought it was really nice that my Mom agreed to be my MOH . . . which stands for "Mother of Honor" in our case!

Our wedding was on a Thursday evening, much to my MIL''s dismay.

The reason it had to be on that particular evening is because it was my late grandfather''s birthday, and his and my grandmother''s anniversary. (They got married on his b-day.) So, the date was pretty special to us.
