My spinel just arrived today, and I'm in love! :kiss2: The red flashes and sparkles are just beautiful. It makes all my other coloured gemstones look drab :lol-2: My phone refuses to capture the colour and brilliance accurately though...I'll share the lacklustre pictures I have next time red comes round!

Try to snap your pix in indirect daylight around noon. That should bring out the best in her. I can't wait to see!
 
I'll take orange... sure I've shared this ouro preto imperial topaz previously (more golden than orange). She's around 8ct. I'm setting her with these tanzanites, so I thought I'd give her another show & tell.

Thank you! And yes, this is my first spinel ever; I wasn't expecting it to be so sparkly! It's definitely very different to sapphires and rubies. Please share more pictures of your vivid red next time red comes round!! :mrgreen2: I've decided I like red spinels more than rubies :lol:

I really love your velvet blue btw! I’m currently searching for a similar stone to make a toi et moi with my red spinel, but I’m hoping the spinel won’t look too sparkly next to a sapphire…

I hadn't realized this was Dr_Diesel's red! I'm so surprised he sold it!! I knew there couldn't be 2 stones that nice floating around. It's so rare to see a truly fine one. Kudos, my friend!!
 
For yellow This isn’t mine but this owl is too cute not to share. I saw it last week at the Van Cleef & Arpels “Paris, City of Pearls” exhibition at the VCA Ecole inParis.
