I'm planning on getting engaged at the end of the year and have started to look for marquise cut stones!! I'm only interested in ones that I can get an ASET for and like to stay within the ideal/premium cut classes listed under the pricescope marquise page. The numbers are listed below.

Budget including setting 8500
Clarity: VS1 - SI1
Carat: around 1.20 and higher
Color: D - G
Depth: 59 - 62
Table: 55 - 62
Ratio: 1.75 - 2

Polish: Ideal/Excellent
Symmetry: Ideal/Excellent/Very good
Fluor: None-Faint

Trying to get some more info on the ones below, although the two SI's conerned me with there inclusions in the center of the stone

Looking for a little guidance because this is a bit overwhelming. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You're limiting yourself by being so strict on table and depth . A good marquise can come with many angles. You'll miss good diamonds by doing that.

What "specs" should I be looking for when trying to maximize my budget and get a good clean marq stone? Thanks

Here is the ASET for the diamond you linked. I'll post the others when I receive them.

LLJ thanks for the help however I'm looking for a little bit of a larger stone.

Niel what are your thoughts on the ASET of the diamond from JA you linked? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on it.

Yes that was the ASET from the one you recommended which I have on hold. There's also this one from a larger diamond I'll add. Please let me know what you think.

I like the D. I think it's a strong performer. But I also thing the color and clarity are better. And a fancy cut in a high color I think really makes a fancy special.

What setting are you thinking n

I think just a solitaire to really make it special.

Oh man I can't think of a better setting for a marquise than a soli. What metal? Did you decide kn if youre going with a james Allen soli? I ask becuase not all solis are created equal you'll want to make sure you get a good one. What's your budget for that?

Just white gold. Haven't really picked one out yet but wanted to stay below 700 if possible. I'd like to go with JA which is the smaller of the two. Any recommendations on the type of setting would be great. Also, is your opinion to go with the smaller stone then? It looks to be a better quality stone... and thanks for all the help.

Yes I would go with the smaller one. It's not even small, really, and I think you'll be happy in the long run you got a D. As someone will always have a bigger diamond but nobody's going to have a whiter one. Plus I do value color in fancy shapes more than rounds. So yes a D would get my vote.
Off to look for settings for you.

Thanks so much!! I can't say enough.

I think that setting is perfect. I asked them to get a quote for it so we'll see where it comes in. She also recommended the one linked below but it looked a little wider at the top. My girlfriend has pretty petite fingers so I really liked the one you picked so hopefully that'll work. Otherwise I might have to go with the one she recommended.

actually you know what i dont know how i missed this one i really like it, could they do it in platinum and still stay within your 8500 budget? if they could, this would get my vote
