Let me ask you about my pear

I have learned so much about diamonds since joining. But most of my knowledge has been in regards to antique cuts and rounds or cushions as that is what I own and wear the most. What I don't know much about is my pear.

You may know that I had my pear up for consignment, but I recently pulled it as I found an antique setting I just fell head over heels for and Caysie and I are working to recreate a very similar piece as a home for my pear. It got me thinking, where does my pear fall within the PS quality parameters? (I bought this pear last year on a whim - long story - and didn't know squat about pears or diamonds in general.) I was hoping those that have knowledge of fancy cuts could weigh in and let me know.

Thank you!

GIA 1.55ct; E-SI1
Table: 57%
Depth: 59.5%
10.36 x 6.60 x 3.93
Girdle: Slightly thick to thick
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: None
Ratio: 1.57:1

I don’t know anything about pears BUT I know that she’s beautiful! I can’t wait to see her set!

Unfortunately, there is not much to know about pears from the numbers. Small changes in numbers dont really dictate the beauty of pears.
You can enter the numbers from your stone here and it will give you a cut class.

The other interesting thing you might like to know well, I do, is how many mains your stone has. This is on the GIA report when looking at the pavilion
angle of the stone. They come in 4 mains, 6 mains, 7 mains, 8 mains. Sometimes (usually), the mains are off set from the center but sometimes they
are on the center.

Example here of what I'm talking about. I'm not saying these stones are well cut...I'm just saying they have different flavors. I also find it interesting
how, to me, the 4 main gives you the crushed iced look. How do less mains cause the look of more virtual facets??? Questions I've always had. Thats
a question for one of the pros/vendors.

Your stone looks like a lovely specimen with a perfect tear drop shape. I'm so glad you found a setting you love. I'm looking forward to seeing the
design. I have a 1.08 pear engagement ring bought many years before PS. It started out in a 3 stone with baguettes on the side which I grew to
hate. A few years back I reset it in a simple solitaire that I love. Can wait to see how yours turns out!

@tyty333 Thank you for that info! And your pear is lovely!

According to my cert, my pear has 7 mains. Also, I tried to use the tool, but I don’t know the crown height % so I couldn’t get a score. I plugged in 13 for crown height (as that was an average for a well cut pear and I wanted to see how the rest scored) and everything came up as 1A. (Full disclosure: I plugged in a much higher number originally, and it came up as 4A but everything else came up as 1A so that's why I went with an ideal average of 13 the second time.)

Thank you! I am hoping that the CADs are ready by the end of next week so I can share them.
