Less sparkle with bezels?

Can someone illuminate me as to how bezels have as much sparkle as prong-set diamonds? I realize a well cut diamond will look as sparkily when looking face down, but my eng. ring has quite a bit of fire that reflects from the girdle and the pavilion when I look at it through the side. Isn''t there sacrifice of that when picking a bezel setting? Nobody has remarked on this.
