Hi folks
OK, for a number of reasons, not least because I started the ballooning thread on Leon boxes (or baggies!
) that has certainly taken flight, I wanted to post this email that I received yesterday from Leon. I sent him a little thank you note for working on my ring, and he replied as follows:
It''s been my pleasure and a privilege to work with you. I want to thank you
for being patient and your trust in my creativity. Every piece I make is
very special to me, from the very simple to the most complicated and
intricate. Please wear your jewelry with the proper care and I assure you
will enjoy it for many years to come.
Again, thank you very much for your business and if you will ever need
anything else I''ll be at your service.
Please do not hesitate to contact me .
Now, I know that a lot of "Leon-bashing" goes on here, sometimes by people who have never spoken to him, making assumptions about his character, motivations and moods. We all know that he doesn''t come on here and read or post - or at least he says he doesn''t. So I wanted to post this email to show that the man is not a rude, arrogant monster. I found him a pleasure to work with, and am thrilled with my ring. I have read many posts saying "oh I love his work, but I would never work with him", and all I want to say is, don''t only believe the negative stuff, because there is a lot of positive stuff too.

I am not necessarily a Leon-basher but I know I''m never work with him. All the same, that was kind on his part.
