Leon Mege Like Jewelers in Boston?

Hi...I am new here, and just recently posted a question about Leon''s prices...While I believe he would be in our budget, I kind of like the idea of going to a jeweler in town and "supervising" the work. There is no rush, still a "LIW", but I thought I would ask, since I have been addicted to site for the past 2 weeks!

Anyone had any experience with a GREAT jeweler in Boston who does great Micro Pave work? While I know NY is not to far from Boston, I prefer to stay local if at all possible...I have to make this as easy as possible for the Boyfriend- remember I still have to sell the idea of a custom ring vs any ole'' ring, so the more marketable (location, Location, location) the better

Gosh, after reading about Leon and Mark, I don't think they like to be supervised. Maybe someone else will chime in w/a good recommendation for the Boston area. Leon and Mark Morrell do have beautiful work!!!

ditto. for some reason I think of MM and fluid metal, if I wanted pave and could afford Leon, I would use him, no question, long distance or not.

hopefully, some local boston folks will chime in with some recommendations for you.

Thank you! I went to Mark''s website and was a bit turned off by his long list of requirements and complaints? The FAQ sheet was basically what he found annoying in clients and basically what "not to do" when when working with him- a far cry from many jewelers who try to come across as uber friendly. While his work is lovely, I was a bit turned off by his approach. I am sure many have had wonderful experiences with him, I just felt a little uneasy. Also, his work is much more fluid and less Melee...so I guess I will keep on searching. Thanks for the reccommendation though!!
