Here''s a close-up of the previously posted gown''s neckline.

That turned out tiny! Let''s try again...
This photo literally just took my breath away. What a gorgeous neckline.

Love!!! I am loving these. Especially the one Clairitek mentioned took her breath away - what an incredible neckline! The architectural details are way cool. I totally can''t figure out my taste. Sometimes I''m really into a column, sheath style that is really flowy, other times I love the more structured edgy gowns. I suppose trying some on will help!

And now that I''m taking a second look at the one Musey loved, I am loving it more and more!

*sigh* so much beauty!

Thanks for your input, guys! I will so keep you posted on next steps on designing this gown!

The only dress I even came close to liking at David''s was this one. It looked really glam and old Hollywood. Since they are so accessible (DB''s), it might be worth stopping in to try it on for inspiration.

Oh, that''s really pretty - thanks Katamari! That''s a great idea! In fact, my designer/friend and I are meeting on Friday for coffee and to pour over design ideas. Maybe we should make a quick trip to David''s just to look at some dress construction...

Thanks again!

Hey LeeNY

How did your meeting with your friend go?

Why hello!

The meeting went well! She had some draft sketches done, and we got the name of a more local dressmaker, so are going to contact her this week and start talking prices.

We went and tried on a few gowns (actually, all Nicole Millers). They were so beautiful, very clean and simple. It was nice to try on a gown that a) was my size and b) I actually enjoyed wearing.

So we discussed the possibility of potentially buying a Nicole Miller and "glamming it up" with a belt or statement jewelry. We''ll see. We''re still going to explore having one made, because the process just sounds like so much fun, and we''re both very much enjoying creating the design together.

I will do a post of sketches, need to resize them first. Thanks for remembering me!!!
