Leaving a deposit on 1 of 2 diamonds today, need help !

After a couple of months of searching, I made an appointment to leave a deposit on this diamond later today,

Then this diamond got listed and Im now torn between the 2

Both are very very similar in almost every aspect including price. The broker recommended the first one because it was 62.8% vs 63.4%, which would result in better light reflection. Im clueless about this, I feel he just wants to sell me the one thats 100 bucks more.

Which one would you guys recommend?

The first diamond has an HCA score of 3.8

The second diamond has an HCA score of 4.9

Honestly I wouldn't buy either of them.

You want a diamond that score less than 2 on the HCA. It's not a selection tool, but it helps weed out the duds.

If you post your budget and specs (what you're looking for), others will help find you an ideal stone - one MUCH better than the two that you have posted.

Actually, thanks to your suggestion I was able to find a stone with a 1.9 HCA score thats very close to my previous 2 selections.
Its 1.55 ct / F color / VVS2 / Med Blue Flor / ~14k. Thanks again !

Can I ask why you're going for such a high clarity and color?

Its the best one I can get at my price point.

Unless you're color sensitive, I would drop down to an H or I in color along with a lower clarity as the VVS2 is overkill.
