Something arrived last Friday .....

And my sweetheart got to it ... well, sort of first. I signed for it and he whisked it away This is what it looked like when it came back.

He decided to recreate his original proposal. At the time he was in a ceramics class. He made a jar with our monogram on it and a matching lid.

And this is what was inside ... 10 years ago it was this diamond in a different setting. Now there''s a little more bling in my jar.

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm super pleased with my reset!! I was frantic earlier to get pics up and was having so much trouble that I posted and had to jet to take care of the kiddies. So I'm back for a minute to say that it's amazing how the change of prongs really brought out the sparkle and fire in my diamond. The stone is a little on the shallow side. In my original setting, I think the diamond was too high and some of that brilliance was lost. Now the diamond is set in your traditional 6-prong for a marquise and JA set those prongs very close to the diamond. And I really think the diamond is performing to its full potential!!

As for the original proposal, he had made the ceramic jar and inside was a whole bed of red roses. On that bed of red roses was a white rose that held the diamond. He's a literary guy, so he used an analogy that the red roses represented those things that can fade over time but the white rose represented his love--pure and never fading.

Inside that white bag were long-stemmed roses and another little gift bag. In that gift bag was the ceramic jar. You know the rest

He really is great. My favorite part is how excited *he* got to do this reset! A little blue fire (he took this shot and LOVED it!)
