Hi everyone,
I was looking at a diamond the other day and it was lazer cut. Is this a good diamond to get or is it considered enhancement:confused:

I personally don't know about "lazar" but ask the vendor. They are required to disclose any information about the diamond being enhanced.

Hi Coupe,

I think you may be refering to, the Lazare Kaplan
diamond, which is an ideal cut.

Perhaps, I'm wrong and there is a, Lazer cut.

Some star and kite shaped diamonds are cut by burnt out profiles using laser.

Sergey has talked with people who are R&D planning a high tech laser polishing process, but this will cost more to do then the diamonds are worth.

You also want to be sure they weren't talking about "laser drilled", which is considered a clarity enhancement.
