Do these diamonds hold there value comparable to other diamonds of similar quality? Specifically, Marquis, 1.75 to 2.00ct, d-f, vs1-vs2. Considering purchasing one but don't know if all Lazares of the same shape being cut basically the same will affect the value. Thanks.
That is hard to say whether it would hold its value since even if you were to try and sell a regular round diamond you'd be lucky if you even get half of what you paid for. There are very limited avenues one can take to sell a diamond unless you happen to be intimate with that industry. Just because it is a Lazare diamond makes it special since it would be considered a 'brand' of diamond. I would try and compare it with other marquise shaped similar diamonds and just add a little bit more premium to it because of its brand. Hope this helps.
