I''m a long-time lurker, first-time poster. (Thanks for such a wonderful and informative forum!)

I am strongly leaning towards purchasing a 1.63 GIA I SI1 round diamond from Abazias. I have a sarin report (which is excellent all-around ... it''s an AGS0, by the way), the GIA cert, and a bunch of pictures of the stone (including photos of the inclusions. I also have the H&A images as well.

But I asked for a idealscope and Abazias told me that they don''t have one -- they said that the LightScope that took the pictures on their website is far from their home office. Should I be concerned about purchasing the stone without an IdealScope picture?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Well, if an idealscope image is important to you, then make sure the return window is generous with Abazias and line up to have the stone examined by an independent appraiser who has an Idealscope.

If it doesn't measure up, you can return it.
