Laser Inscription Registry

Just purchased a 1.5 diamond with GIA report. The report is date June 27, 2001. It does not have a Laser Inscription Registry on the girdle. They dealer would have to send it back to GIA to have this done.

Is the inscription of any value to me? Is it worth waiting 4 weeks to have this done?

I don't think that it is worth the wait as long as you know and you trust the vendor that sent you the stone!!

If you have a doubt about him then i would suggest you send it to gi.a. and have them identify the stone and send it back to you directly!
otherwise it is just a waste of money!!

Sounds good. I did take to diamond to a local jeweler that was recommened by AGS. They did verify that the it matched the report. I feel comfortable with the stone.
