This is in response to some requests from FrekeChild on her engagement thread. For those of you not following, I arrived in vegas the same day she left, so we just missed each other. I had a great time there.

Things we did:
Ka - Circe de Soleil show - it was a great show, totally recommend it

Went to 2 breakfast buffets, one at our hotel, the MGM grad and one at Paris - both ok. We went to Paris because it was highly recommended. The food was mixed. I loved the cheeses, pancakes, waffles, some of the meats, and of course, the crapes (the whole reason I went). The eggs Benedict, and a few other things were just ok. The line was super long and almost make it not worth it.

Lots of shopping. I bought stuff at the outlets, and looked in Vegas. We went to the Tiffany's where my BF managed to get me a blue book (they refused to give us one in San Diego).

Dinner at a nice sushi place, Stack, and a Wolfgain Puck restaurant.

I was looking at trench coats, and so my BF took me to Burberry. I tried on a couple of the trenches there and fell in love, but they are soooo expensive. I will have to keep looking at them on the rack right now, but at least I really don't need one in San Diego.

And of course we exchanged presents. I got my BF a Wii. He likes it, but might not keep it because he has a super old TV and wants to save for a new one. So he might put the money towards a TV.

As I was telling Freke, he got me a pair of riding boots. It is kind of a long story, but my BF is the male version of Freke. He has a ton of custom made men's shoes from the days when he was living in New York. I always complain to him that it is not fair that my BF is better dressed than me. He said to me if I am going to have one nice pair of shoes, it should be a pair of dressy riding boots. A while ago, we looked at these boots in stores like Saks, and they were not that nice and overpriced. I said to him, you know the best way to go would be a store that sells equestrian gear. Well, he ran with that, and ended up getting me a black pair with a zipper on the back. They are beautiful, they are works of art. The problem is that he guessed my size and guessed wrong. The other problem is that I am tall, so I wear a larger shoe size, but I have shorter legs for my height, so the boots hit the back of my knee and when I sit they dig into my legs. So we are going to go back Sunday and see if we can find something that will work. I am at home with my parents now, and won't be back till Saturday, so no pics. But I will try to find a link and put my Vegas pics up.

Overall, I had a great time. And no it did not snow. It was kind of cold, but nothing my old east coast clothes couldn't handle.

Here is the link for the boot company. I think these are the right ones but I am not totally sure. Boots link

LMAO that your BF is a male version of me!

I have to tell you! We went to the Venetian during the "snowstorm" (I thought NM was pathetic when it comes to snow--Vegas got about 1/2 an inch that stuck on the landing strips at the airport, and they closed the whole thing) and as we were walking towards Tiffany, I noticed all of the windows were dark. So I went and looked closer... stuff was still in the cases. I''m thinking, "WTF?!"

Then I see a sign in the window. I went over to read it, and it reads:

"Tiffany & Co. is closed due to extreme weather conditions."

WHAT?!?!?!

It''s like 36 outside, and the snow keeps switching to rain and back again. Whatever.

I''m sorry to hear than your boots don''t fit you perfectly, but they are gorgeous!

We ate at: Cravings (the buffet at Mirage), Sensi, Food court at Fashion Show Mall, BLTBurger (Mirage), Pho (Vietnamese at TI), Carnegie Deli (Mirage), and BLTBurger again.

We saw: Cirque du Soleil''s Mystere, Tournament of Kings and X Burlesque (we picked it because it was cheap and late at night. Lol.)

Alright, learning how to size photos on a mac...I will start with the snowman at the Bellagio.

My favorite part about Vegas was the celings. Here is the one at the Bellagio.

Here are some more Christmas scenes

I took this for a friend who loves shoes, but I thought I would put it up here too.

Those are all I really have of just the surroundings, hope you enjoyed looking!

BTW: Freke, yes it is lame that my BF loves clothes and shoes so much, I can't buy anything for him! I can't believe that Tiffany's was closed. That is just stupid. I lived in Philly for 4 years and Tiffany's never closed even when it snowed. Hopefully we can work the boots out this weekend.
