I took a picture of my diamond and I would like to know if it is a good diamond. And also I want to know if those white spots are pinpoints and if those line are feathers or is it too hard to tell from the photo. and finally if the GIA report is correct. I am very interested in learning more about my diamond.

Bellow is the GIA report and the picture.

IMO, it's a very good diamond.
It was grade by GIA so we can trust the grades more so than with many other flakey gem labs.
It gets an excellent score of 1.4 on HCA. https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

It also looks very symmetric.

I'd take it outside in the sun to see if is one of the very rare Strong Blue florescent diamonds that turn oily and milky under light that has a strong ultraviolet component. Not likely.

Since GIA gave it VVS2 those lines are not feathers.
Also you wrote the only clarity characteristics GIA indicated are indented naturals.
If there were feathers and pinpoints GIA would have listed them along with the naturals.

The white spots all over the diamond are almost certainly dust IMO.

Good job! :appl:

your diamond looks like its in need of a good cleaning. don't worry about the specks and lines, those definitely aren't indented naturals.

Those white spots are just dirt. Haha. I can NEVER get my diamonds clean enough for these large photos! I think macro photography of diamonds need a dust can nearby…
