LaPousette''s and Ultrasonic cleaning

Can you put the LaPousette backing in the ultrasonic cleaner with the diamond stud? The inside probably gets dirty from sweat and dirt, but concerned about them rusting out. Seems like they need to be replaced every 2-3 yrs anyway.
