Lab grown diamond fire Pictures!

When I first started my research on Lab grown diamonds, my main concern was that they would not have the sparkle and fire from a well cut mined diamond. My husband was skeptical about going the lab grown route for my 20th anniversary ring too, but there is no doubt we made the right decision to go this route (especially with 2 kids headed to college at this period in our lives)! Take a look at the amazing fire in these pictures I took this morning! The amazing big flashes of fire from my Heritage OEC rivals any ideal cut mined diamond!

Great thread jaysonsmom! Your ring is gorgeous! Happy 20th! I look forward to seeing more pics of firey lab diamonds. I also celebrated my 20th in July and got a lab diamond asscher/square emerald cut from Ritani. She’s a real fireball. Here are a few shots of her playing in a sunbeam (through a sunny window).

Whoever said step-cuts don’t give fire... This lab Asscher is the clearest stone I have (VS1) so no surprises it has the most fire. Lab stones make good clarity affordable!

So do ideal cut lab diamonds not go dark? And are they that much cheaper than mined?

Mine is within ideal cut parameters, and thus far doesn’t seem to go dark in direct sun. It was about 1/4-1/3 the price of a similar clarity/color/cut/size earth mined diamond.

Wow that's amazing then! It sounds like a great choice!
I considered lab grown before my upgrade, but hearts i like are not easy to find (in both kinds)

Mine is definitely not super-ideal- I think some really fantastic lab diamonds are out there or can be specially cut, but I completely understand your decision!

Both are same stone, different settings and my lab diamond changes so much depending on lighting!
