Lab-grown diamond and natural ruby target ring

After months spent deciding what I wanted and settling on a final design with help from Pricescope, my engagement ring is finally ready and I love it! Not a moment too soon, either, since we're getting married three weeks from tomorrow. You can read my thread about the design process here. Thanks especially to @emmy12 who was a big help in refining the design!



It's made by David Klass and has a 0.74 ct lab OEC in the center with 2.07 cts of natural rubies in the halo. The metal is platinum.

It also comes with a matching engraved platinum wedding band that is contoured to fit against the engagement ring.


I'm so excited for it to come in the mail! David did a beautiful job and it actually came in under budget (so about $25 under budget with tax.) I'm amazed that we got such a good ring for the price. It's exactly what I wanted.

I copied the shoulder from an antique ring I saw online! I wanted something with detail that didn't include side stones. For budget reasons we were sticking with lab diamonds, but David could only get lab melee in MRB, not single cut, and I (and a lot of others on here) thought that would look off with the OEC.

Here's the ring I copied from, with the top diamond on it turned into another metal bump on mine.
