An Emerald in the size, colour and clarity that I like is beyond my reach unless I win the lottery.
Hence I had one cut by Jeff W when I saw his post in his FB page featuring a lab Emerald he cut for another client a couple of years ago.
It is 3.35 ct. and 7.74 x 9.63 mm, and it is on its way to me, and I plan to have it set in 2021.
Here is the stone itself, next to my Imperial Pink Topaz that is still with Jeff:

I am planning to set it in a ballerina ring setting with Moissys in 9K Gold, with these inspiration rings in mind:

The Emerald would be bezel set in Rose Gold to bring out its colour, for the rest in White Gold.
I have lusted after an EC Emerald in a ballerina setting since I was young. It may be considered as out of fashion, however, I personally believe it is a very classic setting.
