LA or NY??

Hi, I live in the UK and have spent hours searching the Internet and stores to find the right Diamond Engaement Ring. I really like Emerald Cuts over round, but where I live in the info seems very limited. Would it be worth my while coming to the states to either LA or NY for find a better deal?
