Knox Jewelers?? Advice?

Has anyone on this forum had just a setting made by Knox Jeweler and sent to them?

I''ve been on their site almost every day since I found it, just to stare at their absolutely beautiful designs. I just can''t get enough!!

However, I''m from Jersey and won''t be able to see the ring before its shipped. Also, we already have a center stone in mind, so it would have to be set by a local jeweler. (I think its in their policy that they cannot set a princess cut center stone on one of their rings unless its one of their own.) I love their collection of work, but I''m a little paranoid about ordering a ring online that I have to have my center stone set by another jeweler.

Advice anyone? I''ve emailed him a few times, and he''s great at responding and is super nice, but I just wanted to know if anyone''s done this sort of transaction with him in the past.

I recently had a ring made by Knox and worked remotely with them during the entire process. (I''m in Oregon.) They were awesome!

I''m guessing that Brian will be able to accommodate whatever stone-setting requirements you have, and will shoot as many pictures as you need before it ships to ensure that you''re happy with the setting.

I know I should be beaten about the head and shoulders for STILL not having hand-shots.

Actually, my advice is in the form of a suggestion to the admin...starting with Knox Jewelers.

I see they''ve been mentioned a lot lately. Naturally.

The previous admin found them misbehaving on other boards, and their plug was pulled here.

Since there''s a new sheriff in town, I might suggest channels be opened again, and that Knox could be engaged towards a return here.

Probably the past should be reviewed, first, before swept under the rug. Depending on how that conversation goes, Knox might or might not be allowed to return.

Anyway, just some thoughts, not specifically raised my Julie, I know, but some thoughts, nonetheless...
