So I need ALOT of help... I am currently am looking for a stone to match with the ring and I have no idea which one to choose.
The setting is a Verragio INS 7068CU, found here: http://www.verragio.com/Verragio-Engagement-Rings/Insignia-Engagement-Rings/INSIGNIA-7068CU or here http://www.genesisdiamonds.net/verragio-ins-7068cu-engagement-ring.html

I am looking for a Round cut Stone that is highlighted by the accent diamonds on the ring, so something of like cut clarity and color as the accent stones on the setting. I would like .90-.93 carats or so. Trying to stay around $5,000 or less. I start to get lost when looking at all these options of depth, table, polish, symmetry, fluorescence, dimensions... I would love a "3X" stone of course but curious what features are the most important to focus on and what to look for in the depth and table. I have spoken with a few shops and they provide quite extensive lists and I just feel overwhelmed!!!

So please, any help on feedback as to what to look for or great stones to fit that setting would be an absolute Miracle!

The 2 places that I seem to land on as far as purchasing this ring are TQ Diamonds in Wisconsin and Genesis Diamonds in Nashville. Any feedback regarding these places or perhaps better options is most welcome.

Thank you all so much!

Some poor guy...

This forum tends to recommend only a handful of online vendors, which does not include the two that you've named.

You may have to provide some additional detail to get good diamond recommendations. For example, do you care about the presence of imperfections (inclusions etc) that can only be seen under magnification? Do you care if the diamond has been cut to so-called "hearts-and-arrows" standards? Don't worry about angles, dimensions and proportions -- there are plenty of experts here who can select those numbers for you. However, they cannot make recommendations about factors that would amount to subjective decisions.

In any case, I'll throw out this one as a possible candidate for you, but there are many others here who are better than me at picking round diamonds:

Good luck!

Yikes, I'd give a pass to Genesis Diamonds in Nashville; Boaz Ramon, its CEO, is not a man I think should be rewarded with any of my hard-earned money, e.g.,

Whiteflash -- a well regarded, very reputable online vendor (also a PS sponsor) with a brick-and-mortar showroom in Houston -- is an authorized Verragio retailer & can order any Verragio setting for you. WF provides high quality photos of its in-house diamonds (all of which have AGS or GIA lab reports) & other, useful assessment tools that neither TQ Diamonds nor Genesis Diamonds offers to their online or real life shoppers.

WF's A Cut Above® diamonds, representing the best of their inventory, are likely to be above your budget, but there should be (sorry, I don't have time to do a search for you right now) some, slightly under 1-ct stones within your budget amongst what WF designates as its Expert Selection diamonds; the diamond that drk14 linked is one of WF's Expert Selection stones.

Explanation of these WF categories here:

Here are 2 beauties from WF - the largest in the 5k budget - J color:

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3372524.htm
http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3400954.htm

Here's your setting on their site:
http://www.whiteflash.com/engagemen...med-bead-set-diamond-engagement-ring-2007.htm

The setting is relatively closed from the sides, so the possible tint in a J will largely be camouflaged, and the stone will face up beautifully. If J color bothers you you can drop size to increase color.

You guys are Amazing! This is exactly the kind of help I needed. I knew there was more out there than what Google was giving me...

I really like whiteflash, their site and how much information they give you regarding each stone. drk14 I really like the one you linked to, and ecf8503 the second one you linked to (.935). In order to make the stone really stand out would it be wise to go for the better color and slightly smaller size? I think size is the least important characteristic for me, I'd rather quality over quantity. I like the hearts and arrows but to the naked eye how big of a difference does it make? Every time I go in and look at stones I am just awed by how gorgeous they all are and I don't feel like I see some of the finer differences a more educated individual will recognize. Though I do like when they sparkle and shine and fire off all kinds of light

Thank you for the feedback regarding the retailers, it's definitely safe to say I will not be dealing with either of them after the feedback and experiencing a place like whiteflash.

Please feel free to offer more suggestions, words cannot express how thankful I am!

Does she have her heart set on that setting? Have you checked out ebay sometimes you can buy shop display Verragio rings for a bit less. I also think Brilliantly Engaged could make you a better quality split shank halo for around the same or less money;

Otherwise stick with Whiteflash.
