I am in love with the Cathy Waterman ring, but can''t fathom paying $4k for a ring with .60 ctw!!! That''s just way out of my budget!

I''m just wondering if a skilled jeweler can make it for me for, say $2k...but where to find one? That''s the tough part!

Also, I love the Leon Mege one, but again, might be too expensive - also, may be too wide, I''m looking for something around 4-5 mm wide....

These are very nicely made rings but you shouldn''t have too much troublble finding someone to make one of them, LR.

Thought: you could start with a 2mm x 6mm wedding band and .60pts of dias and arm yourself with photos and go visiting B&M shops. It''s really only a few hours work (maybe half a day).

You would have a better ring then the original - work hardened (wedding bands are machined) and of a better alloy then the opriginal which was cast produced from a model.

I am not really serious. Actually I don''t really know the who''s who in the US, so I can''t help...

I just realised, this ring weights up-to 5 x more then the one attached. From a second look it may even be hand made.

Look around for 2mm x 6mm wedders and you will see where a lot of that price is coming from.
