I have been looking for a Princess cut but recently ran across a Cushion Cut that looks similar but is rounded around the edges. It looks really pretty. Plus, it is a 1.56 ctw where the priness was 1.63 and it''s measurments are larger by .75mm on the length and width. Does this means that overall it is bigger? Here are the specs. Let me know what you think. How does the sparkle of this cut compare to the princess?

I think what you're looking at is called a "Cushette" cut, or a "cushion modified brilliant"; it's a modern version of the "old miner", or antique cushion cut.

I'm no expert, but I can't say anything about the sparkle being more/less than a princess, it just depends on the individual diamond.
