So I will start at the beginning.

Beautiful lavender french cut YAG stones were for sale and I couldn't resist buying some. My first French cut stones ever. THEN I decided to buy a step cut well sized moissy to go with them. Instead of an emerald cut, I decided a crisscut would look more "different". Here they are:

I sent them to David Klass. His team is my "go to" for custom projects. It's my third time working with him. I thought two tone gold would look, again, "different" and I wanted engraving ALL OVER!!

David's team is SO FAST!

but it's complete darkness once I got home at 8:30 PM so STAY TUNED for SUNNY hand pics!!

It’s gorgeous! I always loved this type of mount! So delicious with all of those chunky cuts!! Looking forward to your pics!

I couldn't resist taking first pics under oven fan LEDS (sorry)

Davids pics do not do the ring justice. It's dainty, delicate, chunky facet cut goodness

Indoor office light. Waiting for some good sun . The YAG frenchies have a subtle pink tint. Sometimes barely visible.PXL_20240426_122446254.MP.jpg

@oncrutchesrightnow Why wouldn't people consider them? Because lab made? Or other reasons?

Yeah I think some people feel like nice settings are reserved for natural gems or lab versions of natural gems.

IMHO it’s about the thought and care that goes into a piece.

@oncrutchesrightnow I completely understand.

For myself with quite an addiction to nice bling, it's all about balance. I like nice pieces, I can compromise on certain areas to get the look I want.

@fiona00004 Wowzers! That's just beautiful!! The "leafy" engraving is gorgeous, and I love the sort double but not really prongs! Just amazing. Enjoy!

Stunning! So well done, great visioning!

Really beautiful. I have never seen a crisscut 'in real life'. May I ask where you sourced your center stone? I'm more familiar with the geometry of the more traditional cuts, how did you choose your stone? I think they maybe my most favorite cut, but I have not been able to really find any specifications on how to determine a finely cut one. Any thoughts would be great.

How beautiful! I love the combination colors - it looks GREAT!
