My boyfriend and I are looking at half carat princess cut diamonds for my engagement ring. We also want to have it kite set. Does the stone need to be a perfect square to look okay kite set? He found a diamond he wanted to purchase but the length and width are off by .07mm, making the length width ratio 1.02. Would something like that look rectangular? We don't want to miss out on a good stone, but I also don't want it to look funny when it is kite set.
