Has anyone heard of this manufacturer of engagement rings/ wedding sets? My boyfriend and I were shopping around for rings yesterday and fell in love with a beautiful tacori-style setting. They gave us a model/serial number (RDM-145) and they were "pretty sure" it was made by Kim International. 18kt white gold, the wedding band and engagement mounting total 2.12 ctw. It''s the more "fancier'' tacori style - with the fancy scalloping and dimonds on the sides of the bands and diamonds all away around the band. It has the "3-stone" style. The store was having a sale - 60% off bridal sets, and they quoted us $4900 for the set (originally $15k for the set!!!). We have not been able to find any information regarding them on the internet, other than their website which doesn''t have much. They used to go under the name "Kim Imports".

We just want to make sure this sounds legit and is a reputable maker of jewelry! If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated!

try to get more info about the stones too. sounds too cheap.

Well, we had been looking at several designer sets in platinum (Scott Kay, Verragio) that would have been about $6000 for the set, so we thought this sounded good considering the tcw on the bands (2.12) and it was in 18k gold, not platinum. Though I did note that the Tacori ones similar to this (though in platinum) are over $9k for the engagement mounting. Maybe this was a given, but the set does NOT come with the center stone. But thanks for that note!
