IMG_2457.PNG Well, I wanted to get there for 8 this morning, but this is a little hard core for me

Such a great and fun time...

I bet that really is fun - nothing like a good hunt for diamonds!

I came out when it hit 28 degrees. It has warmed up so I'm here for the rest of the day

Hey...I've missed being in touch with you and now I see why! What fun! Wish I was there with y'all. Maybe next time! Good luck and I hope something "pans out." Have fun.

Larry is giving away amethyst today! He is all about diamonds and nothing else. It is light pink and in my take home bucket... very small but so nice of him!
@kgizo

That looks like fun? Do they say what the chances are of actually finding anything good?

It is a lot of fun, but I am for sure discouraged at this point. I'm getting better at processing the gravel though and people are finding diamonds there. I figure it is only a matter of time for me....

I love it here in Murfreesboro. Quaint little town. I find digging in the dirt to be theraputic. If you would fly here or something like that, I would spend at least 3 days.

Larry drove 16 hours, got there yesterday and is staying until Friday. I'll keep up with him to see if he finds more diamonds. He has 7 total from all his visits.

Ok I got in touch with the guy in the pic who is intently looking at his diamonds. He has found 77 of them through the years.

He said the biggest problem right now is the drought and lack of heavy consistent rain.

That looks like hard work but fun! I don't know how you stood it when the temp was in the 20's and 30's, though!

Haha! Ask @kgizo! You warm up FAST digging holes! I can't deal with the heat but I don't mind adding layers in the cold.

But, yeah, within 20 minutes of digging yesterday, I was stripping off on the minefield. At least hot flashes are good for something!

It has been my dream to go one day! It is so nice to see the pix. The only thing I am not sure about is how my stilettos and cocktail dresses would hold up there.:razz: Do you think I could leave the make up home at least?

Seriously, the only problem is that I think I would die after a couple of hours. Seems to be really hard work and I am sure it is easy to get discouraged. But I am rooting for you guys! Sooner or later you will find something. Just do not give up. :appl:

I'd love to go someday but wow looks like heavy labor! Interesting that the hint is to go after heavy rains. I knew that if I went, I didn't want to go in the summer since I wilt in the humidity and rather go in the fall or spring, but you caught some unseasonably col weather! Good luck!!!

:-oThanks

I slept 12 hours last night and just got up. My muscles feel frozen lol. Next time I'm bringing Epsom salts and a foam roller.

I don't know how Larry works for 7 days straight

Yes, we did. 24 degrees was just obnoxious! It's hard work, but while I'm doing it, I'm so focused and excited that
It hurts but it is ok. Kinda like mind over matter. Later on though DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness).

Oh how fun!! 24-30 degrees is a little cold....lemme know when it it hits 45-50 and I'll come join you!

P.S. Pictures please of the little yellow, and any cool rocks you find. Soooo exciting.

BTW; yeah it is true that most sources recommend going after heavy rains. Oh, momma that makes it even harder in the mud. I am thinking hazmat suit instead of stilettos. ;(

Whitewave I feel for you but think what good this does to our waistlines, not to mention the therapeutic effects on the soul. And if you find something... I am rooting for you!
