Keeping Distilled Water in the Jewel Jet

I received my Jewel Jet last week, and I was wondering if I can leave distilled water in it without having to pour it out after every cleaning. I called Jewel Jet this morning and asked them, and the woman told me that they advise to spill the remaining water out only because of the minerals in the water, so I may not have to do that if I use distilled water. I got the impression that she was not sure, though.

Do any of the Jewel Jet owners keep the water in the unit?

I apologize if this question has already been answered, but I did search the 12 pages of Jewel Jet and did not find an answer. Thank you.

bump. . . I just got my Jewel Jet today and I would love to know the answer to this question. Does anyone leave distilled water in their unit between cleanings? Thanks in advance

Yes, I leave distilled water in mine all the time. That's specifically why I use distilled. The guys at Knox Diamonds (where I bought mine from) told me that would be fine.

Thanks Lynn! I am having my diamond reset (again) and I bought the Jewel Jet to keep the new setting clean. I should have the ring any day and I will post pics. I know you are contemplating a bezel reset

Lynn B, thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I have been keeping the distilled water in my unit with no problem. It is a time saver!
