1.504 ct K VVS2 ACA
$7,789.00

IMHO an amazing price for a stone of this size and clarity, cut quality and color.

I can't wait to have my own ACA. It might not be 1.5 cts and it might not be VVS2 (and unfortunately chances are it won't be a K) but I can't wait. I don't know why anyone wouldn't buy this diamond for $7,789. Maybe if I shake the couch cushions real hard?

I can only echo the others- WOW!! I love it!

Do you get a lot of compliments on it? I would imagine!

Did you chose a K specifically to get a K (I would) or did that just happen to be the right combination for you? Thanks!

Before, I had a 2.12 I-SI1 ACA New Line.
Now, I have this EightStar.
Both received a similar amount of compliments.
I don''t prefer anyone.
They are both lovely but different.
Now I''m trying to save some money for a bigger diamond, but I will have to sell the EightStar and my 1.26ct N-VVS1 cut by Infinity.

Fascinating thread. I love the new ring! You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs.

How big of diamond do you want, Stephan?

It will be between 3.25-3.49 with at least VS1 clarity.
I had some bad experience with "eye clean" VS2 and SI1 so I want it to be clean.
The color will be low, as usual.

I remember the one you had a few years ago, the M colour?

Yes, Wink sold it for me and made a happy consumer.
Lorelei, don''t be to excited, it will last a long time before I manage to sell my diamonds.
Then, I''ll probably buy a diamond and have it recut to proportions I like.

Wow, Stephan, that is going to be extraordinary!

Neil Beaty writes in your other thread, "Both J and K are a tough color to sell in the secondary market especially when paired with high clarity..."

That's funny, because J and K paired with high clarity is just my cup of tea.

It''s my cup of tea too, and I don''t think it''s difficult to sell because in lower colors, price difference between VVS and SI is not very important.

Before the recut, the diamond looked yellower and it was a J.
After the recut, it became a K... but it looks whiter.
That is why I lose money.

What you say makes sense, and I certainly don't see that VVS could be a negative. I mean, what? VVS, oh noes! I will not buy such a clear stone! No way, no how! LOL!
