K/L Diamond- which gold color?

I just had my L coloured Asscher set into a mixed metal ring. The collet is pale yellow gold but prongs are white gold. Both colours are doing their bit to bring out the best in the stone. Not super white but it has a lovely golden hue overall.

I think K/L will look lovely in either white or gold, but the melee will be the thing that makes tint more noticeable IMHO. Even lower coloured melee will look very white next to the main stone, unless you get some very low coloured melee. If you're keen on a halo, I would ask PS'ers for pics of lower coloured diamonds set in a halo.
