Hello all!

Long story short..... My partner and I have been searching for a close to 1 carat princess through whiteflash under $3100US of a lower colour (down to a K) so we get a little bang (size) for our buck! Also so we can get it set into their Petite cathedral pave (18k white gold)

I (hopefully) will be calling in this K colored princess from whiteflash as part of their VS diamonds!
I just wanted to get some quick opinions or any photos of

-K colored princesses/diamonds and why you love/don't love your K?

-and the stats of the princess:
Princess GIA :twirl:
0.99 K SI1
VG polish
VG symmetry
Fluor: N
74.6% 64%
5.48x5.48x4.09

-I understand it's not ideal to just give stats without photos (asets etc)
but I don't have any as yet! But will be sure to post when I Do!

thank you! :wavey:

Is it eye clean?? Also a poorly performing princess will show a lot more body color than an ideal cut... So an ASET will help us and you to determine how well it performs and how much body color to expect. Ca you see it in person and in various lighting... That is really important. You may see it in person and love it or hate it...

Has your partner seen K colored princesses?? Remember a fancy cut like a princess will show more body color than a round also...

If you are concerned with body color- is there a way to find a J or K with some flouro that will possibly negate some of the body color?

Ditto Amy. Make sure you like the appearance of a K colored diamond, especially a fancy shape rather than a round, because the body color will probably be evident to the naked eye. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the J/K and beyond color grades, but you have to like the color for its own merits rather than wish it were colorless, because it won't appear colorless.

Thank you for the advice!!!

I understand that the warmer colored diamonds are a personal preference and I have had a little look at different colored sites and education on the internet however I have found it somewhat impossible o find even J colored diamonds to view through a jeweler/diamond suppliers where I live in Australia!

The K colored princess ended up being sold anyway :(sad
but hopefully have a nice .90ct J on the way!

I am in Australia too.

Just a thought. Most mall type jewellers carry JKL type colours. I was in one recently buying silver jewellery polish and I overheard a conversation with a couple buying an engagement ring. They were told the rings were a K round brilliant and the princess was a J. (I know, I am nosy but I just kept wanting to shout RUN! because the cut was  :nono: :errrr: ;( )

Also the lab that certified these diamonds wasn't one I had heard of before so the colour was probably waaaaay lower than that again.

Now buying a beautifully cut lower coloured diamond would not phase me at all having owned an L coloured AVC.

So perhaps that might help to know most people who are wearing mall type ER's are wearing similarly coloured stones to what you are considering. Perhaps even lower!!
