Opinions on this stone?

I know that the question of color comes up often and that it is basically a personal preference, but what are people''s thoughts on a K colored stone? Would the yellow stand out a lot if placed against an eternity band that has higher quality stones in it?

I think it''s BEAUTIFUL!!! I''ve had my eye on this stone since it was posted. But the color question is a personal one and just preference. I really like the lower colored stones and their more ''antiquey'' color than stark white, but that''s me, and I love it with my skin tone. As most people would, I''d suggest seeing one in that color in person before committing to it, you may love it, but you may hate it.

I saw a GOG vintage cushion about half that size that was a K. I LOVED it! I think K''s are my sweet spot. It had no hint of yellow and was super bright. I don''t know how to describe the creaminess, it''s kind of like buying a white wedding dress or an offwhite one. There is this subtle hint of ivory and it is not ice/clear white. I think the color only makes the antique cut better, but like many will tell you it''s all about preference just like a wedding dress.

If I won the lottery tomorrow (probably would have to buy a ticket first) I would buy that stone in a second. I say if you like it, buy it take advantage of GOG''s 30 day return policy. I have had experience with that as well and it went off without a hitch.

Yes it would show. Even putting a cushion of the same color next to round brilliants you will see a difference in the light return which may appear to be a color difference as the RBs will look brighter and whiter.

I would go see this in person if you can or at least place a K RB with higher color stones to see how you feel about it.

It will still be a matter of preference whether you like or don''t mind this difference. My Fiance has H cushion with a halo of G colored RB melee and there is definitely a contrast between the two. My Fiance likes the look though, and one of the popular designers Leon Mege is reccomends putting antique cut cushions as low as J/K color with G/H color melee. The eternity band will be even further away than a halo so the effect will be less noticeable but still present.

It will show warmth definitely and it is a big stone, and there could be a contrast between an eternity band with near colourless diamonds - but it depends on your preferences. In my opinion warmth in diamonds has to be something you embrace and appreciate, to me it adds to the charm especially in cushion cuts but it depends on how you feel.

Beautiful! Here is a video of another K VS2 (2.45ct) to view as a color comparision.
