that LIW dust really does work!!! M and I got engaged yesterday
We''re headed out now to celebrate and spend some more time together before getting back to the grind tomorrow, but I''ll try to get ASAP to post pics (if I can figure out how to take some) and share our story...
OK so M went off to soccer, so I have a bit of time now to share our story and some pics It''s a bit of a funny story, and fits us so well... it couldn''t have been a better proposal!
So a few months back I had a dream about M and I getting engaged. I was telling him about it (as a vent for my LIWitis, lol), and he asked me how he had proposed in the dream. I told him that all I could remember was that we were in a park, and that there was a waterfall in the background.
Fast forward to yesterday... M and I had decided to spend a nice day together, as we had been pretty busy lately, and he had been out of town for that last week on a conference. He suggested going for a walk around downtown (which we do from time to time), and I thought it would be a great way to spend our date. He takes me to a park downtown that overlooks the river that runs through the city where a waterfall was recently put in that shoots water super high into the air and into the river. So we''re looking over the railing at the ducks and the waterfall and he starts to say all kinds of gushy stuff (which he does on occasion, and I was still totally oblivious), and ends his speech with ''I want to make all of your dreams come true'', and just kind of stares at me. I look at him and he points and says ''the water fountain?''. He said the look on my face went from confusion to utter shock (as I realized what he was talking about), and as I realized what he was saying, he bends down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I went from confused, to shocked, to bawling my eyes out all in about 30 seconds! It''s all kind of a blur from there, but I remember crying, and hugging, and asking him if I said yes. Then he put the ring on my finger, I cried some more, than asked him if he was sure...lol!
After the proposal we wandered around a bit more, passed some bridal parties taking pictures (at which point I started to cry again, lol), then he took me out for a wonderful dinner to our favourite restaurant. We spent the rest of the night snuggling on the couch, watching a movie and calling our families. I couldn''t have asked for a more perfect proposal!
And as my duty as a former PS LIW, here come the pics (sorry they''re not very good, I''m still trying to figure out how the heck to take pics of this thing)! The first one is the first (somewhat visible) pic of the ring on my hand at dinner:
