Hello

I just purchased a bgd blue diamond

.574ct
I
VS2
AGS ideal

Total price was $1372.

Should i stick with this stone, or should I keep looking?

Budget was $1400. Cut and size being priority over color and clarity. As long as it faces up white and is eye clean.

Did you get one of the discounts??? Should be a nice stone since it is a BGD blue.
 
Yes i did. That's the only reason I bought now as opposed to around the holidays like i planned to.

Sounds great. I am a fan of fluorescent diamonds. Woo hoo for a discount.
 
The top down view is vey nice, I don't really like how there's a big open space on the side. Would have been nice if they put a few small diamonds or did a decorative design.
 
Love this!! ~ I was checking this stone out along with others on the BG website. A BG Blue is on my list of things I want (need).

The diamond sounds great! The bgd blues are awesome. Btw IDJ can custom order any Gabriel&co setting for you. Have you looked through the site? A friend of mine got a BGD blue and IDJ sourced the setting. BGD set the stone.
 
Couldn't get the camera to focus properly so the picture isn't so great. I don't really know much about diamonds but this one really sparkles. Well worth it.

Is there any difference between sending the setting to the diamond to be set vs sending the diamond to the setting?

There was a special 3 hour sale during the eclipse. Coupon codes were given out by BGD.

Yes, bgd will take responsibility for the setting of the stone and cover it in case of damage. Make sure you have insurance on the stone if IDJ sets it for you. Again, damage while setting is not frequently seen, but it can happen, you want to make sure that you are covered. ;-)
