Just ordered this ring! Will have it in hand 10/9/2007 and popping the question later this month...

Engagement Ring Setting in Platinum (.85 ct. tw) has a 2.39 carat Round center diamond with Ideal-cut, I-color, and SI1-clarity. With this setting, the total carat weight of diamonds for the ring is 3.23.

I paid $21,000 out the door.

Did I get a good deal? Is the size good? Any comments are appreciated!

Nice ring! This is from Blue Nile, right? I have been wondering how that setting looks IRL, look forward to your posts when you get the ring!

Some people might say that stone was just slightly (ever so slightly) steep/deep and that maybe the 85 lower girdle facets are too long. I personally like long lower girdle facets. I am sure the stone will look absolutely gorgeous when you get it. It''s a very nice size.

Does that have to do with the cut? Because the GIA report shows "excellent".

Yah, that''s about the cut. Can anyone ad a comment here? Ran it through GIA facetware and it''s an excellent. Ran it through HCA and it gets a 4. Not so good. But still inside the outlined GIA spec for excellent. I know that sometimes a bad HCA does not mean a horrid stone, but a 4?

I cant get my camera to take small enough pictures!!! I have the settings on the worst quality possible... Any suggestions? The ring is awesome, far exceeds my expectations!

Do you have a photo editor? I use LVIEWPRO to resize or crop my pictures so that I can post them on here.

If that doesn't work, you can also try sending them to PS Admin and they will post them for you.

You'll also want to use the macro setting. It is usually a flower icon on the back of the camera. This allows for close up, clear shots.
