Well, the seemingly long saga looks like it may finally be coming to a close. After returning my original setting for my upgrade ring--long story here (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/pictures-of-the-ring-before-it-goes-back.30387/), I decided to go for the WF Platinum by Le 3-row pave ring that looks like this.
I know I was debating the 4-prong, 6-prong thing, but in the end, 4-prongs would have been o.k. if the profile of the ring was not so high. Also, the embedded diamonds in the original setting went all the way around the band, and I thought that some of the "bling" was a little wasted this way.
The other debate was to go local. Well, we looked around and found that the prices were above our range and this one couldn't be beat.
The setting has 0.65 cttw and I love the surprise diamonds and the way the prongs are straight.
I shipped the diamond off today, so now the waiting game begins....
