Not enough info to judge.

like AprilBaby says...not enough information

Is the diamond graded by a lab? if so, what lab? do you have any information about the proportions? is this second-hand? is the diamond in good condition? has it been recently checked out by a competent appraiser?

to add to that- what is the cut quality? what shape is the stone?

I agree with the above posters, more info is needed to make an educated opinion. If the stone has a report from either GIA or AGS, and is at least an SI-2, the price doesn't seem too bad, assuming it is a well cut round diamond and doesn't have a lot of Fluorescence.
If it is a Fancy Shape, then that would be a different story. Please post more info if available.

is this offered at a store locally to you?

do you have the GIA report number?

yes from local store dont have number off hand but roughly good price for what is described or not thanks

there are a lot of factors that go into pricing so it is hard to say. you can search online at blue nile since they have a large inventory or pricescope under resources.

As others have said ... not enough info. However, a GIA D SI range diamond is typically $5000 and up. We have no idea what the cut is on your diamond so we can't even tell you if it is even worth buying. Also, is the diamond eyeclean or does it have glaring inclusions. We have no info on your setting what so ever.
