Yup. Before committing I would keep looking at more IRL. You seem to be too much all over the place still, not yet narrowed down enough. I think that you might be able to find what you’re looking for in a completed ring. Grace will be st the NY Antique Watch and jewelry show next weekend and you should visit her just to see her selection. You mention three stones and she has a three stone OEC that is gorgeous. If you are in NY you should visit Adam st OWD as well. It seems like a big project. I would source stone until you know exactly what you’re designing.

This is very true. I would love to have a singular, clear idea of what I want and to go pursue it, but that's not the case for me right now. I only seem to fall in love with styles outside our budget.

Unfortunately, there's no way we could ever visit NY.

I actually contacted LAD about purchasing that a while back and never got a return response. I like that stone, but it's awfully shallow and I don't know if that's ok in a pear. But what's really holding me back is having it set. Something like bluenile, where you can pick a basic setting and have it shipped in one piece is about all I can handle.

Oh really? That is a surprise, I found her to be super responsive at any hour :( Maybe try again? I used the DM on instagram.

Do you mean you don’t want the the stress of finding the right setting? Erica could do that for you too I’m pretty sure, maybe even find a pre loved semi mount.... I imagine the result would be nicer than Blue Nile, they don’t carry antique pieces?

I can’t comment re the detriment of the shallowness, but I’m a bit of an ignoramous... if it looks and performs like a beautiful diamond, it’s a beautiful diamond!

I agree with others that looking more is helpful. If DH will have a voice in the design, you will need to find something you both can agree on. Right now, you are not on the same page. If you both get equal votes, just take some time.

I've posted a range of designs that seem to bridge your DH's interest and yours. But, if looking at lots of images will be confusing, don't look. If it won't cause stress, see if any of these appeal to you and then of those...to him. I may have totally missed the mark...I won't take offense. Just trying to help.

On the settings with Erica, she does Stuller and Scholdt as well. She had a link on her site before, but maybe it's gone?

I'd try her again if you like the stone. I've worked with her before and sometimes email can be spottier. Maybe try to dm via instagram or Facebook and set up a call?

I love looking at this stuff. It gives me new leads on vendors I didn't know about, too. :mrgreen2: And I now want a Fabrage egg. My husband thanks you.

That moval from Erstwhile was perfection. OMG.

This is another style I love. It is at an antique jewelry store near where my in-laws live, and I would have purchased it on the spot, but the center stone is noticeably yellow.

You did a great job with those links. I'm going to look through all their available stock.
