I was having fun on eBay this morning, looking for ring guards/enhancers/jackets. They seem to go by different names.

I’m not really “in the market” for one right now, but I was curious about where people browse when shopping!

I kind of like the over-the-top ones. I’ll find some links.

The pictures helped. I was confused for a moment about what a diamond enhancer was.

At first I thought you were talking about my wife. :mrgreen2:

I agree, and the old cheesy ones might be better made. I have a very new mass-produced enhancer and the quality makes me uneasy about wearing it a lot.

Here’s the one I bought! Garnet is from Finewater Gems... I’m in the process of deciding what inexpensive solitaire setting to get.

Party jacket (!! Love that!) is currently partying with my CBI. :lol-2:

i can't stop thinking about your party jacket
i wear my grandma's and also my great Aunty's ERings often
they are nice quality but depression era marriages and would have been at least two months wages for my factory working trademen Grandad and his better paid public servent brother in law
my mum used to stack them (not together) before i even knew stacking was a thing
i don't want to over shadow the diamond with huge honking glitzy modern enhancers that would drown my ladies and completely over shadow them - but grandma and her sisters did all have fur coats and fox stoles
i can see something like your party jacket (on an appropriate scale) doing a stella job of enhancing my much beloved vintage rings

I'm a HUGE fan of ring guards/enhancers, even though I lost the only one I had (it was my mother's... sob). It was very small and simple, but gorgeous. The design was a delicate WG "stem" with 3 tiny diamond "leaves" that curled around her solitaire, and it looked awesome with my OEC solitaire. I miss it every day. At some point I'm hoping that David Klass will be able to re-create the design from my description.

CvB recently launched a unique clip-on ring guard/wrap design: https://www.instagram.com/p/B1J9b78H_64/ which totally intrigues me because it clips onto your e-ring instead of requiring you to wear another ring. Perfect for us short-fingered girls with limited real estate!

My SIL loves these. They are $1450 each on the website where these specific ones came from for the .3 cttw one and $3350 for the .8 cttw one which I think are the ones pictured. They don’t want to spend $3k+ on what are essentially fun stackers. Has anyone seen any less expensive? Her diamond is 1.1 ct round in rose gold but they don’t need to be in rose gold.

I’ve got the type that make the solitaire look like a 3-stone:
Marquise sapphires
Round emeralds.
I think they’re SO fun.

It's the only one I've ever seen! Which is one of the reasons why I'm so broken up about losing it. :cry2: I really hope to be able to recreate it someday.

Oh I LOOOOVE the ones that turn a solitaire into 3-stones...especially the ones with colored gem side stones!

Here's a vintage enhancer that I had favorited on Etsy:
