Hi everyone, i just recently got engaged and found this forum while doing my "due diligence" on researching an e-ring for my lady.
We went out to the mall last weekend and were clearly unimpressed and am going to be getting with a local jeweler this week to get a little better service.
She wants a 1.5tw 3 stone ring in yellow gold (with white gold prongs). I have seen a few loose diamonds and we are happy with the H/I, SI1/2, VG cuts that we saw.
If we went with say a center diamond of ~.7 and sides of .4 each do you think we are being realistic to try and get the ring around 3k? we just want something sparkly and nice, we don''t really care about if it is "perfect" under a scope or not.
oh and we ran into this looking online yesterday, seems to be a real business with a reasonable return policy but the price just seems to be a little "too" good.. thoughts?
