Gorgeous ring, I love this setting!
Congratulations and best wishes to you both!

Wow, that is a stunner! What an interesting and different style for an engagement ring. Is there a story behind the design, or did your FI come up with the idea on his own? I''d love to know more about this ring, because as soon as I saw it, my brain screamed "RHR inspiration!"

Congratulations to you both. Your setting is very unique and looks great on you.

Just gorgeous!

Your ring is beautiful (I love pears) and very unique! Congratulations! What kind of wedding band do you plan on wearing?

Thanks everyone!
I wasn''t really sure about the wedding band...I was thinking either a very thin eternity band or simple white gold band. This design is actually a custom modified version of Mystic by Mark Schneider. There is a matching band to this ring that fits perfectly around the leafs..I just think it looks weird. And while wearing the rings together, I anticipate them coming mis-aligned and looking awkward.

Do you guys have any idea what kind of wedding band would look good with this?

Here''s the a picture/link to Mystic by Mark Schneider with the matching wedding band. Looks strange right? http://www.markschneiderdesign.com/detail.asp?recid=6&ringname=Mystic

Another pear fan here! A beautiful and unusual ring. Very many congratulations.

In terms of your wedding band? You could go one of two ways I think (1) a plain band and if it tucks under the leaves of your ring this would look lovely or (2) you could replicate the leaves somehow onto a band - perhaps engraving?

I have to say that I used to have an interlocking wedding and e-ring and came to dislike it because, although it fit well together, I could never wear the wedding band on it''s own.

I''d love to hear what you come up with so please don''t forget to update us!

so pretty congrats!! i like the matching wedding band

Thanks everyone, I know pear diamonds aren''t very popular..but there''s something about the asymmetry that I love!
Actually pear shapes are a classy unique choice that a lot of celebrities are picking.

That setting is so unique I love it!

It''s lovely, congrats! It looks great on your hand too!

Congratulations on your engagement pri.

You have such a beautiful diamond and setting - enjoy.

Gorgeous ring! Love the setting and your diamond is fab.

I was just going to ask what type of band you were considering when I noticed that you posted about that already! I wouldn''t go with an interlocking plain band, either...you can''t wear it alone (well, you could, but it might look odd.) Nothing is going to sit flush with the e-ring setting, so I would go with either a slim, plain WG/plat band, or a super slim eternity band of some sort. Whatever you choose should probably be very dainty so as not to take away from your e-ring, imo. Congrats!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! what a fun setting! I LOVE IT! The design is really cool, and really plays up the pear shape center stone!

It''s lovely. I haven''t seen anything quite like it. Congrats on your engagment and enjoy your e-ring.

Very, very pretty ring! I like it alot and it looks great on you!

Enjoy!

What a lovely ring, and what seriously beautiful hands! (I'm assuming there are two

)

For the band, I'd consider plain, or an eternity ring with alternating marquise and round shapes.
