Yummy!! Oh, my!!! Those are such vibrant stones!!! I really love the demantoid - is that as a charm on a bracelet or necklace? Its positively glowing - I love that stone!!
Oh my goodness, it's not often I see 3 stones in one post and want them all! They're ALL absolutely gorgeous. You have a wonderful eye for picking great gemstones Ark AND your photography is so much better than it used to be and I'm very grateful for that because we can enjoy your lovely gems so much better.
This is a huge Me Too post -- so beautiful, all 3 stones! My eyes pop out at your sapphire, Ark, the definition of "sapphire blue." Both demantoid & tsav are tdf also. Thanks for making my day!
Gorgeous colour all of those, the sapphire positively glows! - is the demantoid set in that halo or just resting there? Okay on closer inspection I can see it's set - wonderful. It's a real sparkler!
Ark,
We need stats STAT! Your stones aren't just all size because the colour is superb too. Any more views of the sapphire ring and demantoid pendant? What are your plans for that amazing tsavorite? I could just drown in that dreamy velvety blue of your sapphire.
LD, Queen of Collectors, thank you!
Lovinggems, so nice to hear from you! Thank you!
Tbmok, thank you!
Justginger, thank you! Corundum twins are not so common, always wanted to see one my self
Kgizo, thank you!
JewelFreak, I wish I could make more of your days, but I am trying...thank you!
AmeliaG, thank you!
Canuk-gal, thank you! It is a large stone, it was one of the first ones in my collection, and I initially asked for "4-5 carats". The look on the jeweler's face was unforgettable.
OTL, thank you!
TL, my stones will never compare with yours, but at least I can get some knowledge from you! Please continue sharing it, it is so important. Without you, I would not know a thing about collecting.
Velourial, thank you!
Starzin, thank you!
Chrono, thank you! I am breathlessly waiting for your ring which of course will be to die for...
Where I am now, I have only stats for the sapphire, but here we are...
Weight - 5.21 ct. Measurements: 9.05 x 8.83 x 7.58
Unheated. I had it certified by two labs.
It is deep, hence there are areas of extinction, but there is quality/price ratio that I liked. I asked it to be set high and maximally open the pavilion, and I think it worked. I remember a thread in which Chrono, Michael E, PrecisioncutGem and I think Zeolite explained me everything about light/color and I have been always following the advices given in that
thread.
The stats for the dem are at home. Not sure I shall find ppwk for the tsavorite, bit I can weigh it.
Justin, thank you! Yours is the best, so it is so pleasant to read your words.
Chronic, I know! Itonnically, the best photos I have came out when I was aiming at other stones, but I shall try.
Arkteia you are so sweet! But the perfectionist in me must disagree with you based on that first picture.
That tone & saturation have me beat! Congratulations on finding a truly exceptional sapphire! 99.9% of all sapphires will force you to make compromises in one area or another, but my God that color is spectacular and I think you did extremely well! Definitely in the top 3 I have seen on Pricescope! May you have many many years to enjoy such a beautiful Sapphire!
Oh and that Demantoid isn't to shabby either!
~Justin
Please keep trying, even if you have to wear some other ring on the same hand. It's such a beautiful stone which I'm sure many others would love to see more of.
