Some of you may have seen my previous thread where i put a deposit down on a 60/60, and after careful consideration based on all of your advice I've gone for this:
https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3949682.htm
...in the following setting:
https://www.whiteflash.com/engageme...ng-trellis-solitaire-engagement-ring-1197.htm

my partner works in a school with young children and so I had a hard time finding a setting that both showed off the diamond but was also non-lethal

I can't wait to see it in person !

I'm not sure why I'm posting this, I'm not necessarily looking for advice or feedback, I think it's nice to just have a platform where I can express my excitement for something that's currently a secret.

Anyway, Thank you all so much for your kind advice and endless knowledge, it's made my journey in finding the perfect ring (within my budget...) a hell of a lot easier... it's a minefield out there!

Gorgeous diamond and a beautiful setting! Please
Come back with pics after the proposal!

absolutely beautiful! Please post pics when you get it in!

Congratulations and a beautiful choice!

Non-lethal lol.

That's going to be a lovely, classic ring, I'm sure she'll adore it.

HI:

I am happy for your choice. Total package (the whole enchilada lol)--awesome.

cheers--Sharon

So excited for you. It's going to be a knockout (in a non-lethal way)! Lots of pics please! I believe you will also get "glamor pics" before they ship. Post those too! We love this stuff. Congrats!

You're right...it is a minefield out there!:lol-2: I'm glad you made it to a safe place...lovely stone and setting! Post pics when you get it!

Thanks everyone, it's a relief to see congratulations rather than alternative suggestions this time ^^ now just to pay for it .... where did I leave my money :/

I'm sure she'll love it. It's rather difficult to find a setting that is "non-lethal" these days, haha. I was in a similar predicament, as my girlfriend is a doctor. Looks like you made a good choice on the setting, as the prongs look fairly rounded and therefore unlikely to take an eye out of a small child.

Collecting it tonight :D can't wait to see it ! (Photos of the actual ring)
